When we arrived to the village of Gagony in May of 2015 for the Ghorka earthquake, I was tasked with inventorying and storing our medications and supplies.
It took help from my colleagues and had to be as secure as possible. A table was set up in front where medications could be dispensed. Doctors, Nurses and Paramedics were able to come up to the “counter” to receive medications that had been ordered by the physicians or nurses.
A seating area where patients could wait to receive their medications and be counseled on proper administration. The medical supplies were organized by type of usage and the medications were arranged in therapeutic class. Topicals, antibiotics, GI meds etc.
